our vision & mission statement

We believe that the health of our communities and nation depend upon all people having access to effective services to help them fulfill their potential and improve their lives.

So, Telos offers educational resources and services designed around research-based practices to help people improve their well-being. We believe everyone— regardless of their struggles— ought to know their unique strengths and have access to strategies and tools to build upon them and fulfill their potential.

OUR MISSION is to empower people in our communities to live in the light of their potential, to create measurable improvements in their learning, and to make a meaningful contribution to their lives.

a personal note from our founder

I’d like to give you some background information regarding the history of this organization, and I’d like to ask for your prayers and support.

In 2015, I quit my job that promised comfort and security to take a giant leap of faith.

This step of faith led to another one. And another one. Soon, I found myself dependent on God for my needs: the ones I had as a business owner, the ones I had as a financial contributor to my family, and the ones I had as a mom, a wife, and as a person trying to serve others as best I could.

You see, in 2015, I started my first business. Although I wrote “owner” under my name on outgoing emails, this title was not accurate. God “owned” it. God gave me the potential to start it, maintain it, and grow it. He gave me the breathe, the intellect, the resources, the support, the health, the healing, the vision, and the motivation to run it. And then God gave me the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control to do it in a way that I could never do on my own.

It is recorded in Scripture that Jesus declares, “I came to give life and give it abundantly.” (John 10:10 NIV) The original word that Jesus used for life doesn’t just mean life after this one— it means life now. Living abundantly means living a life that is excessively fulfilling-- living a life at its absolute fullest. I ask those of you who want to join me on this journey to help make Telos an organization of excellence and love— one that measurably changes our communities for the better by empowering people to fulfill their potential to live a more abundant life.

With a deep and sincere appreciation for your support,

Erin
